During a news conference, Suffolk County district attorney Raymond A. Tierney disclosed that local architect Rex Heuermann had been apprehended and charged with the murder of three women. Their remains were discovered near Gilgo Beach in December 2010. Additionally, Rex Heuermann is the primary suspect in the death of another woman found in the same area. Meanwhile, authorities are actively examining the cases of at least seven other victims whose remains were found nearby.
